Refund Policy

The Journal of Biosciences and Innovations (JBI) is dedicated to providing a seamless and transparent experience for its authors, readers, and contributors. As part of our commitment to excellent service, we have established the following refund policy, which applies primarily to manuscript submission fees, publication fees, and other related costs.

Key Elements of the Refund Policy:

  1. Submission Fees:

    • Non-refundable: Submission fees are non-refundable. Once a manuscript is submitted for review, the associated submission fee cannot be refunded, regardless of whether the manuscript is accepted, revised, or rejected.
  2. Publication Fees:

    • Refund Eligibility: Publication fees are generally non-refundable once a manuscript has been accepted for publication. However, in exceptional cases, a refund may be considered under the following circumstances:
      • The manuscript was rejected after the peer review process and before the publication stage.
      • A technical or administrative error occurred, resulting in an unjust acceptance of the manuscript.
      • The article is retracted due to issues like plagiarism or unethical conduct discovered after acceptance.
    • Refund Process: If an author qualifies for a refund, the amount will be refunded via the same payment method used for the original payment. Refund requests must be made within 30 days of the decision to withdraw or retract the manuscript.
  3. Rejection During Peer Review:

    • If a manuscript is rejected during the peer review process, no refund of the publication fee will be provided. Authors are encouraged to revise and resubmit the manuscript if appropriate, but submission fees will not be refunded.
  4. Withdrawn Manuscripts:

    • If an author decides to withdraw a manuscript after it has been submitted and accepted for peer review, no refund will be issued. The journal does not provide refunds for manuscripts withdrawn before or after the peer review process.
  5. Errors or Issues with Payment:

    • In the event of payment errors (e.g., duplicate payments, technical failures), authors should contact the journal’s customer service team promptly. Refunds will be issued only if an error is confirmed. The amount refunded will be the incorrect payment charge, and it will be processed as soon as possible.
  6. Exceptional Circumstances:

    • In cases of exceptional circumstances (e.g., personal hardship, force majeure), the editorial board may consider partial or full refunds. These cases will be evaluated on an individual basis and require supporting documentation.
  7. Refund Request Process:

    • Authors seeking a refund must submit a formal request to the journal's editorial office via email. The request should include details of the payment, the reason for the refund request, and any supporting documentation. The editorial team will review the request and communicate the decision within 10 business days.
  8. Disputes:

    • Any disputes related to refund requests will be reviewed by the editorial team and resolved in accordance with the journal’s policy. The decision made by the editorial board will be final.

Conclusion: The Journal of Biosciences and Innovations strives to ensure a fair and transparent process for all transactions related to manuscript submissions and publication. Authors are encouraged to carefully review the journal’s submission and publication policies to avoid misunderstandings regarding fees and refunds.
